About

Mark Solomonovich,
Ph D in Theoretical and Mathematical Physics;
Instructor of Mathematics at Grant Macewan College, Edmonton, Canada.

I graduated from the Faculty of Physics of the Tomsk State University in 1977 and started working as a mathematics instructor at the Siberian Institute for Roads and Road Transportation, a specialized engineering school in the city of Omsk.

From 1979 till 1983 I worked on my PhD thesis at the Laboratory for Theoretical Physics of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (JINR) in Dubna, former USSR. In 1984 I was awarded PhD degree in Theoretical and Mathematical Physics.

Since then I have been teaching mathematics and working as an applied mathematician in various institutions of Russia, Israel, and Canada. Currently, I am an Instructor of Mathematics and Coordinator of Geometry, Linear and Abstract Algebra courses at Grant MacEwan College in Edmonton, Alberta.

Writing mathematical textbooks is my hobby though related to the main occupation. I have also published a number of papers on Particle Physics and Applied Mathematics as well as some popular articles on Mathematics and Science Education. My mathematical textbooks are written for my children in the first turn.
